“It’s better to be fiscally poor yet rich in experience – living the dream – than to be traditionally wealthy but live separate from one’s passions.” (A. Ralston, 2004)
This blog is a mecca for all you backpackers on a budget, travelling the globe, having the time of your lives, getting rich in experience and culture, while hardly spending a dime! My aim is to help you travel as cheaply as possible, covering as much ground as you can without breaking the bank. My blog will aims to be a hub of information, such as cheap hostel recommendations, what buses to catch, things to do for free, and most importantly; the price of a beer wherever you are! I am a bit of a geek when it comes to budgeting and cant resist a bargain – or a good haggling session – so stick with me and learn to travel the tight-ass way! But remember, travelling cheap means travelling long, so stop booking those ‘cheap’ domestic flights and be prepared to board a lot of 24 hour buses!
In addition to handy travel tips, my blog will treat you to witty travelling anecdotes and exotic imagery from around the world! Read my blog to learn about different cities and cultures and follow my adventures. I try and update this as often as I can, in order to provide up to date information from the places I visit, but don’t be afraid top drop me a line if I’ve got something wrong, or prices have changed, I would love to hear from fellow travellers!
My photography page displays a selection of my favourite images taken while travelling, but you can also find a link to my Flickr page to peruse my entire catalogue of photos, if you have a few spare hours!
If you are planning a trip away and need some tips, visit my Top Tips page for some useful ideas of what to take with you and how to make your travels easy and stress-free. If you need any more advice please feel free to leave a comment or ask a question on my ‘contact me’ link on the left hand side, and ill get back you to as soon as I can!

If you like my writing and/or photography I work freelance and am available for assignment. For more information on my work and to view my lastest pieces, check out my publications page.
Thanks for coming.
Happy Travels….!
